Cedar Bluff, VA — Today the Lieutenant Governor campaign of Jon Bowerbank announced that it had received more than $600,000 in campaign receipts since Bowerbank entered the race. This total vastly exceeds the amounts raised by Bowerbank's Democratic competitors, eclipsing his nearest opponent by 50 percent.

Cedar Bluff, VA — In an effort to provide relief to taxpayers during this rough economic period ahead of the holiday season, Russell County Board of Supervisors member Jon Bowerbank has successfully pushed passage of his motion to delay the deadline for payment of personal property taxes 30 days in Russell County, Virginia and called on other Virginia counties to adopt similar measures.

"In these difficult economic times, every little bit helps and struggling families shouldn't be forced to choose between paying their tax bill and meeting their expenses this holiday season," said Bowerbank. "If the Commonwealth of Virginia can revise their revenue estimates every three months, working families deserve 30 extra days to pay their taxes. I hope other counties will consider taking similar steps for taxpayers in their counties."
